Lulworth Cove & the Fossil Forest

Short walk round Lulworth Cove to the Fossil Forest, the stone remains of a Jurassic forest. The Fossil Forest is inside the Lulworth firing range and can only be visited when the range is open, mostly at weekends and in school holidays.

Terrain

Crosses a beach and uneven ground, with an optional steep hill. The stretch to Stair Hole suits pushchairs and some wheelchairs.

Dogs

Passes a beach and pub that welcome dogs. Keep dogs close near livestock and cliff edges.
