Getting onto the beach

Access details for 166 of the 285 beaches we cover: ramps and slopes, beach wheelchairs, Blue Badge parking and accessible toilets.

Each entry is in our own words from the source shown, and some sources are older guides. Some are warnings about difficult access. Access can change with tides and storms, so check with the source or the council before you travel. Assistance dogs are exempt from most council dog orders and beach bans.
