Wigan Council: dog rules
Council-wide dog rules, beaches and named places
Rules added
- One person can walk at most four dogs.
- Dogs on a lead in cemeteries and crematoria, and when asked.
- No dogs in enclosed playgrounds, fenced pitches and games areas, or marked pitches at set times.
Assistance dogs: most council dog orders and beach bans exempt assistance dogs, such as guide and hearing dogs. Check the source if you are unsure.
