Swale Borough Council: dog rules
Council-wide dog rules, beaches and named places
Rules added
- No dogs on the beaches at Sheerness, Minster Leas and Leysdown from 1 May to 30 September, and dogs on a lead on those promenades.
- Dogs on a lead in fenced play areas and in six cemeteries in Sittingbourne, Murston, Iwade, Sheppey and Faversham.
- An officer can tell you to put your dog on a lead anywhere public.
Assistance dogs: most council dog orders and beach bans exempt assistance dogs, such as guide and hearing dogs. Check the source if you are unsure.
