Council-wide dog rules, beaches and named places
Rules added
- Dogs on a lead on the promenade at all times.
- No dogs 1 April to 30 September from the Harbour Arm to Hastings Pier, and from Bottle Alley to opposite the Royal Victoria Hotel. All beaches open to dogs October to March.
- One person can walk at most six dogs.
- Parks have their own lead and off-lead areas: check the signs.
Assistance dogs: most council dog orders and beach bans exempt assistance dogs, such as guide and hearing dogs. Check the source if you are unsure.
